Delete your SpoiledPotato account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time. It happens immediately — there's no waiting period, no queue and no review.

How to do it

Sign in to your account.
Open Account settings.
Under Delete account, enter your password, type DELETE and confirm.

Lost access? Reset your password first — you need to be signed in to delete an account, so that nobody else can delete it for you.

What gets deleted

Your email address, password and profile — display name, handle, avatar and bio.
Every review you posted, including the video and thumbnail files, removed from storage.
Your comments and replies, and the likes you gave to reviews and comments.
Who you follow, who follows you, and anyone you blocked or who blocked you.
Your recorded playtime — every play session the desktop launcher reported for you.
Your notifications, and notifications other people received about your activity.
Your API keys and any outstanding password-reset links.
Reports you filed about other people's content.

Deleted reviews stop counting toward the community score of the games they reviewed — those scores are recalculated as part of the deletion.

What is kept, and why

An empty placeholder record. We keep a single row holding your old account's internal id, a scrambled handle and the date the account was created. It carries no email, no password, no name and no content. It exists so links and moderation records don't break, and so your handle can't be handed to someone else.
Reports other people filed about you. These are safety records that belong to the person who reported, not to you, and they stay so that repeated abuse can't be erased by deleting an account.

Before you go

If you only want to stop being visible, deleting isn't the only option — you can remove individual reviews and comments and keep the account. Deletion cannot be reversed: we can't restore an account, its reviews or its videos afterwards, because none of it is retained.
